Louisville Lacrosse Participates in Spring Media Day

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse head coach Scott Teeter along with Ashley Osborne and Maggie Foster met with the local media as part of Louisville's spring semester media day.

UofL opens the 2023 season on Feb. 10 as they host No. 10 Denver at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium at 1 p.m. ET. They will then host No. 24 Colorado on Feb. 12 at noon.
The Cardinals will also face seven NCAA Tournament teams (six from the ACC) from a year ago, including national champion North Carolina and runner-up Boston College. Louisville will also face eight opponents ranked in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Early 2023 Top 25 Rankings.
Louisville will return 24 letterwinners to the roster including IWLCA All-Region Second Team members Hannah Morris and Nicole Perroni. As a fifth year and a captain, Morris has played in 59 games for the Cardinals and ranks 10th for career goals with 108 and 10th for career free position goals with 29. Perroni ranks 10th in program history with 64 draw controls in a season, seventh in single season draw controls per game (4.39) and tied for third in single season caused turnovers (28).
The Cards add 14 new faces to the roster, including 13 freshmen and one sophomore transfer from Akron. Two freshman, Negai Nakazawa and Peyton Howell, were named to the Inside Lacrosse Power 100 Freshman rankings. The rankings consist of a list of freshmen poised to make a big splash this spring.
Assistant coach Allison Daley was named to the Canisius Hall of Fame in the fall. She was also named the head coach for the U20 Canadian National team. Daley was a four-year letterwinner and a two-time All-MAAC first team honoree at Canisius.
Coach Teeter enters his sixth season at Louisville and his 21st season as a head coach. He has compiled a 173-170 record in 20 seasons and is 28-50 in his five years at Louisville.
