
Cards Play Host to Bellarmine in Fall Season Opener Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky - The University of Louisville softball team will open up the 2022-23 fall season playing a doubleheader against cross-town rival Bellarmine Sunday at Ulmer Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. with the second game to follow. Admission is free to the public.

 About Louisville Softball
The UofL softball team posted a 27-25 overall record in the midst of a challenging schedule that was ranked 18th in the nation and earned the No. 8 seed in the ACC Championship.
• The Cardinals will return 14 letterwinners and seven starters from last year's team including two-time NFCA All-Southeast Region selection Taylor Roby and ACC All-Freshman honoree Korbe Otis. Louisville also welcomes six newcomers to the 2022-23 roster.
•Holly Aprile is entering her fifth season as UofL's head coach. Aprile has guided the Cardinals to 93 wins and an NCAA regional final appearance in 2019.

Bellarmine KnightsÂ
•The Knights will return eight starters from a year ago including Chloe Collins who led the team in home runs and RBIs. Bellarmine also welcomes six newcomers to the 2022-23 roster
• BU is in its third season as a member of the ASUN Conference and posted 10 wins in 2022.
• Bellarmine is coached by Caitlyn de la Haba who is in her first season at the helm.
