Women’s Soccer Announces Promo Schedule

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's soccer team is excited to announce the promo schedule for the 2022 home slate of games held at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium this fall. Similar to the 2021 season, all home games will be free admission during the regular season.
The home season kicks off on Friday, August 12 as the Cardinals host Cincinnati in an exhibition match. It will be their final tune-up of the preseason before the regular season begins next week.
Thursday, August 18th will be the home opener for the season against UIC. The official team poster will be the give-away for the season-opening match against the Flames.
The following week on August 25th will be Noche de Familia y Amigos against Xavier. The Cardinals are partnering with the Cultural Center and Noche de Familia y Amigos will celebrate the Latinx community with a halftime celebration on the pitch.
The Cardinals return home on September 8th to face Indiana and it will be Throwback Thursday: Alumni Night at Lynn Stadium. In coordination with Alumni Weekend, Throwback Thursday will feature videos of past Cardinals, Pro Cards, and team history.
The next week will be the ACC opener against Miami on September 17 and the Cardinals will host Pups on the Pitch along with Camper Reunion Day. Dogs are welcome on the berm inside Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium. Also, campers from any of the summer sessions are encouraged to come out for Camper Reunion Day when the Cards take on the Hurricanes.
The next home-stand begins on October 6 against Clemson for Women in Sport Day. With the 50th anniversary of Title IX being this year, this match will showcase the student-athletes sharing their stories regarding Title IX and what it means to them.
On October 9 against Boston College, the Cardinals will host Cancer Awareness and Family Fun Day. Cancer awareness day will recognize cancer survivors and those who are currently battling cancer with an on the field recognition at halftime. Family Fun Day will incorporate fun activities on the berm including yard games, bouncy house and other items will be available for fans to enjoy.
On Saturday, October 15 against Notre Dame, it will be Heroes and Professor Appreciation Night. Local heroes (police, EMT, fire, nurses, teachers, etc.) will be invited to join us and be recognized for their work they contribute to the community every day. Also, student-athletes can invite their favorite professor or the professor who has had the most impact on them to the match for a recognition.
For the final home match of the regular season against North Carolina on October 27, it will be Trick or Treat in your Seat and Thirsty Thursday at Lynn Stadium. Underneath select seats in the venue, fans can find Halloween themed, soccer themed, and Louisville themed images to turn in for prizes. For Thirsty Thursday, Ten20 will be on site to offer samples and full cans of their product for fans to enjoy while taking in the match.
