Louisville Earns No. 4 Seed in ACC Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team has earned the No. 4 seed in the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Tennis Championship which opens Wednesday, April 20 at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College in Rome, Georgia.
The Cardinals earned a double bye in the tournament and will open play on Friday at 10 a.m. against the winner of the match between Duke and Boston College or Clemson – the Eagles and Tigers will face off in Wednesday's opening round.
Virginia earned the top seed after winning the regular season with a perfect 12-0 mark in league play. Second-seeded Wake Forest and the No. 3 seed North Carolina also earned double byes along with Louisville.
Championship ticket passes are $25. One-day entry passes are $10 for adults and $7 for children (age 9-17) and non-ACC college students. Children (8 and under) and ACC college students (with valid ID) are admitted free of charge.

The 24th-ranked Cardinals (18-7) earn their highest ACC tournament seed after posting a 9-3 conference record during the regular season. Junior Etienne Donnet, who stands at No. 100 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles rankings and has compiled a 15-9 overall record with a 13-8 mark at No. 1 while leading the Cards with 11 dual match doubles wins. David Mizrahi has registered a team-best 21-11 overall singles record and is tied with Sergio Hernandez and Natan Rodrigues with 16 dual match victories.
The Cards won five out of six matches of the year to finish the regular season with an 18-7 (9-3 ACC) record. The 18 regular-season wins are the most since the 2017 season, and the nine ACC wins are the most ever wins for the Cards since joining the conference in 2015.
Head coach Rodrigo da Silva is in his third season at the helm.
