ATLANTA -- Nicolas Albiero will be the top qualifier in his signature event tonight in the finals of the 200 butterfly on the final day of competition at the 2022 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.

Nick Albiero put up the fastest time of the field in the 200 butterfly with a 1:39.22 heading into tonight's finals. Teammate Gustavo Saldo was seventh in his heat with a 1:43.17.

Mitchell Whyte turned in a 1:40.93 in the 200 backstroke to finish 25th overall. Cal's Destin Lasco was the top qualifier with his time of 1:37.80.

In the 100 freestyle, Murilo Sartori went 42.60. Cal's Bjorn Seeliger put up a blazing time of 40.75 and will be the top seed this evening.

In the 200 breaststroke, Denis Petrashov stopped the clock at 1:53.57 and Daniel Sos put up a 1:55.87. The fastest time of the event was recorded by Matt Fallon of Penn with a 1:49.03 as the only swimmer under 1:50 in the field as the top qualifier tonight.

The Cards 400 free relay will swim in the timed finals this evening.
