
Cards Rise in National Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team has jumped 18 spots in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings to No. 29 after coming off two wins against ranked opponents this past weekend. The ranking marks the highest for the team this season.
Louisville (13-5, 5-1 ACC) defeated then No. 24 Miami 4-2 on Mar. 18 and then-No. 35 Florida State 4-2 on Mar. 20. After making his debut in the ITA singles rankings on Mar. 9, Etienne Donnet remained in the rankings at No. 117 with a 9-8 record. The duo of Matthew Fung and Natan Rodrigues made their debut in the ITA doubles rankings at No. 71. The pair have won five doubles matches this season highlighted by a 6-3 upset of Virginia Tech's then-No. 9 Ryan Fishback and Jordan Chrysostom on Mar. 11.
The Cardinals will go on the road this weekend to battle No. 24 North Carolina on Friday at 4 p.m. and No. 17 Duke on Sunday at noon.
