No. 10 Louisville Heads to Purdue Invitational

Three days of racing in a conference championship format is ahead for the Cards
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The No. 10 ranked men's and women's swimming and diving teams are heading to the Purdue Invitational at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center in West Lafayette, Ind. Nov. 16-18.
Â
This is the 10th time the event has been held as a co-ed meet. The Boilermakers have hosted the Invite in November of 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021. However, it has been more than a decade since the Boilermakers hosted the meet in consecutive years. But the move to a full weekday format for the first time allowed the Purdue Invite to return to the schedule this year. It debuted as a men's only meet in November 2003.
Louisville is making its seventh appearance, sitting out only the 2015 edition over the last 16 years. Missouri State is making its meet-record ninth appearance by a visiting team, missing only the 2003 and 2019 editions. FIU is the only visiting team to compete at each of the last five Purdue Invitationals. Navy's men return for the fourth straight edition.
