Cardinals Honored at the 2022 Lacrosse Banquet

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse program announced 2022 players awards at its banquet on Sunday afternoon.

The Cardinals finished the year at 7-11, picking up key wins against Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, and Vanderbilt.

Six Cardinals were given awards for their 2022 season performance.

Freshman Ava Coyle was named the Rookie of the Year after being named to the 2022 All-ACC Freshman Team. Coyle played in all 18 games and finished the season with 14 ground balls and five caused turnovers.

Hannah Morris was named the Offensive Player of the Year. Morris scored 56 goals with ten assists and was named to the 2022 IWLCA All-Region Second Team.

Maggie Foster and Ashley Osborne were named Co-Defensive Players of the Year. Foster recorded 23 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. Osborne finished the season with 33 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.

Sarah Blalock was awarded the Integrity Award, while her twin sister Caroline Blalock was awarded the Legacy Award. Sarah Blalock and Maggie Foster were co-winners of the Iron Cardinal.
