Cardinals Go 2-0-1 at Home Tournament

Cards defeat Marquette and Youngstown; tie with Butler
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team finished its second home tournament with wins against Marquette and Youngstown and a tie against Butler at the Louisville Lacrosse Stadium this weekend.

The Cardinals began the day with a win against Marquette. UofL beat the Golden Eagles 7-4. Hannah Morris and Kokoro Nakazawa led the team with two goals each. Tiffany Natoli, Lauren Figas, and Peyton Howell each scored one goal. Sara Addeche recorded eight saves.

UofL played Butler and tied 7-7. Haley Reeck led the team with two goals. Five other Cardinals scored a goal including Madi McKee, Rian Adkins, Maggie McMahon, Morris, and Nakazawa. J Pleck had four saves.

In the final game of the tournament, Louisville defeated Youngstown 11-3. Morris led the team with three goals, while Nicole Perroni had two goals. Allegra Catalano, Alexa Steffens, Reeck, Rachel Lifson, Negai Nakazawa, and Izzy Seikel all recorded one goal. Goalie Aubrey Bagenstose had five saves. Â
