Howard-Tripp Advances to Second Round of ITF Pretoria Futures Tournament

University of Louisville men's tennis player Josh Howard-Tripp advanced to the second round of the International Tennis Federation Pretoria Futures Tournament in South Africa.
The senior from Johannesburg, South Africa strung together a trio of two-set victories in the qualifying draw, defeating Singapore's Adam Hobbs 6-1, 6-1 in the first round followed by a 6-1, 6-3 win against Tom Slabbert and a 6-2, 6-3 decision against Vasili Caripi to reach the main draw.
In the first round of the main draw, Howard-Tripp picked up his fourth straight win of the tournament with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Anro Nel.
In the second round, he fell 6-3, 6-4 to eighth-seeded Jeremy Beale.
