KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Louisville's Matthew Fung picked up two singles wins to advance to the round of 16 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association/Ohio Valley Regional Championship hosted by the University of Tennessee on Friday.

In his first singles match of the day, Fung cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Middle Tennessee's John Chin. The junior went on to beat Vanderbilt's No. 16-seeded Siim Troost 7-6(3), 6-4 to reach the round of 16 where he will face ninth-seeded Joubert Klopper from Vanderbilt at 9 a.m.

Etienne Donnet posted a 6-2, 6-3 win against East Tennessee State's Juan Sebastian Zabala in the round of 64, but subsequently fell 7-5, 6-4 to Middle Tennessee's John Chin.

Senior David Mizrahi picked up a 6-4, 7-6(3) win against Lipscomb's Pedro Uribe in the first round of the consolation draw.

In doubles action, the tandem of Alex Wesbrooks and Matthew Fung fell 8-5 to Memphis' Jeremy Taylor and Pau Fanlo.
