LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's lacrosse head coach Scott Teeter announced graduate students Caroline Blalock and Sarah Blalock, along with senior Kirsten Parker and juniors Maggie Foster and Sydney Kirchenheiter will serve as team captains for the 2022 season.
Â
The honor marks Caroline Blalock's fifth year serving as a captain, while Sarah Blalock enters her second year in the role. Parker, Foster and Kirchenheiter are all first time captains.
Â
Teeter, starting his fifth year at the helm of the Cardinals, will feature a well-mixed roster consisting of 10 freshman, eight sophomores and 19 upperclassmen.
Â
"These are the players leading the way," said Teeter. "This group has shown that they can make decisions well, they do the right things and they work their tails off. It's easy for our young team to buy into their example."
Â
