
Penebaker Named Director of Sports Medicine

The Wisconsin native will work with the Cardinal Volleyball Team
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kelsey Penebaker has been named as the director of sports medicine/women's health for the University of Louisville's volleyball team.

Penebaker was the athletic trainer for volleyball and dance at the University of Michigan since July of 2016. She served in the same position at the University of Michigan for field hockey and cheerleading from July 2014 to July 2016.

A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Penebaker graduated from Winona State University with a bachelor of science in athletic training. She obtained her master of arts in integrative studies with a concentration in public health administration from Northern Kentucky University in May of 2013, where she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for women's volleyball and men's and women's tennis. Â

Penebaker holds an Emergency Oxygen certification with Red Cross Emergency Medical Response and has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 2008. She also co-founded the University of Michigan's Young Professionals' Networking events.
