CARDINAL NOTES
• Louisville (17-23-1, 11-17-1 ACC) is eighth in the current ACC standings while Boston College (10-27, 6-19) is 13th.
• The Cardinals are coming off of a stretch of nine straight games played against top-25 opponents after a four-game series against then-No. 21 Duke, a midweek game at No. 14 Kentucky, followed by last weekend's four-game set against No. 7 Florida State. In that stretch, the Cardinals went 2-6-1 with three games going into extra innings and three games decided by one run. And an 11-inning 0-0 tie against the Seminoles.
• Carmyn Greenwood carries team-high .440 batting average, standing second in the ACC. Her nine doubles, 24 runs, nine stolen bases and 19 multi-hit games also lead the team.
• Carmyn Greenwood leads the team and the ACC and stands eighth in the nation with 59 hits.
• Taylor Roby has a team-high 12 home runs and 36 RBI standing tied for second in the ACC in home runs and fourth in RBI. She has also produced a team-best 10 multi-RBI games.
• Roby is tied for eighth on Louisville's single-season list with 12 home runs and needs one more to move into a tie for fourth.
• Roby (10-9) leads the team with a 2.54 ERA in 30 appearances and 129.1 innings of work
• Jennifer Leonhardt, a graduate transfer from the University of Southern Indiana ranks second in the Cardinals' pitching rotation with 67 Ks.
• Leonhardt second in the ACC second and seventh in the nation with four saves.
• Celene Funke has four triples on the season, standing third in the ACC and 22nd in the nation in that catetory. She currently ranks second on Louisville's all-time list for triples with 22 and needs four more to tie for the lead.
• Funke is second on Louisville's career list for stolen bases with 69.
• Louisville was picked to finish seventh in the preseason ACC Coaches poll.

THE APRILE ERA
• Holly Aprile is in her third season as UofL's head coach. With the 2020 campaign suspended prior to its midway point due to the outbreak of COVID-19, Aprile has compiled a 62-55-1 record and guided the Cardinals to an NCAA regional final appearance in 2019.
• Prior to her arrival at Louisville, Aprile, 2018 ACC Coach of the Year spent 10 seasons (2009-18) as Pittsburgh's head coach and five years (2004-08) as an assistant. In 2018, she earned ACC Coach of the Year honors after leading the Panthers to the 2018 ACC Coastal Division title and a runner-up finish in the ACC tournament.

SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
Series Record: Louisville leads 8-4
Last Meeting: April 12-14, 2019 - Louisville won two of three games at Boston College. The Cardinals took the first game 9-2 and the Eagles evened the series with a 8-4 win in game two. Louisville clinched the series with a 10-2 win in the finale.
Scouting the Eagles: Boston College enters the weekend with a 11-27 overall record. The Eagles are 6-19 in ACC play and are 13th in ACC standings.
• Ellie Mataya leads the team with a .359 batting average, 17 runs, 16 RBIs and 10 stolen bases.
• Susannah Anderson (7-16) has carried the bulk of the pitching duties for BC, logging 143.0 innings with a 2.40 ERA, 93 strikeouts and three shutouts.

The Cardinals will close out the regular season with a trip to North Carolina to take on the Tar Heels in a four-game series.
