
Hartlage Tied for 10th after the First Round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - As the first round of the 2021 Augusta National Women's Amateur was cut short due to inclement weather, University of Louisville senior Lauren Hartlage was left on the course with just one hole to play on the Champions Retreat course on Wednesday
The fifth-year senior would par he final hole on the day to end the first round in a tie for 10th place after carding a 1-over-par 73 against a challenging field of individual amateurs.
Sitting on the 18th hole, the tournament officials pulled the golfers off the course due to inclement weather affecting the Augusta area.
The senior struggled over the nine holes shooting a 3-over-par 39. However, the reverted back to form quickly by shooting a 2-under 34 on the back. She birdied No. 10. She went on to register par over the next five holes before recording her second birdie on No. 16.
The native of Elizabethtown, Ky., returned to the course on Thursday afternoon.
