Cardinals In ITA Individual Rankings for Second Straight Week

Louisville, Ky. – For the second straight week, the International Tennis Association (ITA) rankings featured three Louisville Cardinals. Sergio Hernandez is ranked in singles while Fabien Salle and Matthew Fung appear in the national doubles rankings.
In the latest rankings released on March 30, junior Hernandez moved up seven spots from No. 63 singles to No. 56. Hernandez holds the best overall record in singles for the team with a 9-3 overall record, primarily playing on court three.
For doubles, junior Salle and sophomore Fung climbed from No. 70 to No. 60 in the latest rankings. The Louisville duo hold a 7-6 overall record in doubles and are currently on a two-match winning streak. Last week they defeated Florida States Alex Knaff and Sebastian Arcila 6-4.
The University of Louisville men's tennis team is back in action this Thursday, April 1 at 2 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center as they are scheduled to face Middle Tennessee for the second time this season.
