Hartlage Shoots 4-Under Par 140 to Pace the Cardinals after Two Rounds

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior Lauren Hartlage fired a 4-under-par to lead the University of Louisville women's golf team after two rounds of the Valspar Invitational in Augusta, Ga.
As a team, the Cardinals are in seventh place after the first two rounds, shooting a 1-over-par 577 on the day. UofL fired an impressive 3-under-par 288 in the first round but stumbled a bit in the second round by firing a 4-over-par 292.
Duke holds a one-shot lead over South Carolina heading into Sunday's round, while Florida State is in third place.
Hartlage got out of the gates quickly in the first round.
After registering eight-straight pars, Hartlage recorded a birdie on No. 9 to get in the red. She went on to total birdies on holes 12-15 to finish the first round with a 68.
She continued where she left off in the second round by recording birdies on two of the first four holes, and another one on No. 12 to move to 3-under for the round.
However, a seven on No. 13 put the senior at 1-over-par for the round. She would move back to even-par with a birdie on No. 15 and would finish the second round by shooting an even-par 72 to sit in a tie for 10th place.
Hana Ryskova was just as impressive during her two rounds Saturday by firing a 3-under-par 141.
She opened play in round one with a 1-under 71 by recording two birdies. She improved with a 2-under 70 in the second round to move into a tie for 15th heading into Sunday's final round.
Agustina Gomez-Cisterna is tied for 45th place after her rounds of 73-74=147, while Mairead Martin is tied for 64th after shooting a 6-over 150.
Margot Bechadergue is tied for 73rd after shooting 76-76=152.
The Cardinals will begin third round action with a 9 a.m. shot gun start.
