DeBeer leads the way with 14 kills.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Freshman outside hitter Anna DeBeer had 14 kills and nine digs to lead the University of Louisville volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Dayton in an exhibition match Saturday afternoon at the L&N Federal Credit Union Arena.

The No. 12-ranked Cardinals won 25-27, 25-17, 20-25, 25-20 over the Flyers. Dayton has not played a match since December of 2019. Louisville had seven matches in the fall portion of the schedule and will resume conference play Feb. 27 hosting Notre Dame after a non-conference road match at Lipscomb on Feb. 20 in Nashville.

The Cardinals hit .262 as a team scoring 53 kills to Dayton's 38. Both teams were rusty at the service line with Louisville missing 14 serves and DU missing 13. Both teams recorded seven blocks. UofL's Amaya Tillman led blocking with four. Dayton's Jamie Peterson had four blocks to go along with her 10 kills and three aces. Cardinal Anna Stevenson had eight kills on eight swings to hit a perfect 1.000

DU's Lexie Almodovar had 13 kills with 10 digs. Cardinal setter Tori Dilfer had 34 assists and 12 digs for a double-double.

UofL is back in action on Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. at Lipscomb. UofL setter Tori Dilfer's younger sister Delaney is a setter for the Bison.
