
Louisville Releases 2022 Lacrosse Schedule

The Cardinals will play eight games against 2021 NCAA tournament teams and nine games at UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville lacrosse head coach Scott Teeter announced the 2022 schedule, which features eight games against 2021 NCAA tournament teams and nine games at UofL Lacrosse Stadium.

"We are looking forward to the upcoming season and are excited about the challenge that our schedule presents," said Teeter. "I was impressed with our work in the fall and know that our players can't wait to get the season started."

Louisville will be led by its five captains, graduate students Caroline Blalock and Sarah Blalock, senior Kirsten Parker and juniors Maggie Foster and Sydney Kirchenheiter.

Last season, Caroline Blalock was named to the IWLCA All-Region Second Team and All-ACC Second Team and finished second on the team in scoring with 30 goals and 41 points. Sarah Blalock was also named to the IWLCA All-Region Second Team.

The Cardinals open their season with a two-game road trip to Colorado, where they will face off against Colorado on Feb. 11 and Denver on Feb. 13.

After going out west, Louisville opens the home portion of its schedule with five straight at UofL Lacrosse Stadium. They host Marquette on Feb. 18 and Central Michigan on Feb. 20 and then open ACC play against Virginia Tech on Feb. 26. Louisville concludes its home stand against Butler on Mar. 1 and 2021 NCAA Tournament champion Boston College on Mar. 5.

The Cardinals then go on the road to face Cincinnati on Mar. 9 and 2021 NCAA Tournament semifinalist North Carolina on Mar. 13. Louisville concludes its road trip against Duke on Mar. 17.

The month wraps up when Louisville returns home to face Virginia on Mar. 26.

Louisville concludes a three-game home stint with contests against Ohio State on Apr. 2 and Vanderbilt on Apr. 5.

The Cardinals then travel to Pittsburgh on Apr. 9 and to 2021 NCAA Tournament runner-up Syracuse on Apr. 16 before playing at Niagara on Apr. 18 in their final road game of the regular season.

Louisville wraps up the regular season at home against Notre Dame on Apr. 23 and will begin ACC Tournament play on Apr. 27.
