Openysheva and the Cardinals swam in the SMU Classic, finishing second to Michigan but ahead of Arizona, Miami, Missouri and SMU. The graduate student from Zelenogorsk, Russia, swam in the 100, 200 and 500 free and was part of the 200 and 800 free relays.
