Cards Tied for Sixth at the Illini Invitational

MEDINAH, Ill. – The University of Louisville women's golf team is tied for sixth place after the first day of the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah, held at the par-72, 6,159-yard Medinah Country Club.
Louisville had 8-11 holes remaining of the 36-hole day when tournament play was suspended due to rain and golf course conditions on Monday (Oct. 11).
The Cardinals were in seventh place with a one-under 287 following the first round and currently sit at two-under par midway through the second round.
Georgia leads the team leaderboard at 14-under, with LSU's Carla Tejedo Mulet leading individually at seven-under par.
Kendall Griffin is tied for 12th place after shooting a first round 67, while Carmen Griffiths shot a 72 in the first round, while Lauren Thibodeau, Hana Ryskova and Mairead Martin all shot 74.
Play will resume Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. CT, first finishing the second round, with continuous play into the third and final round.
