What is your best memory/experience playing your sport?
When our whole team traveled to Ireland last summer for two weeks. We got to travel all over and play different courses the first week and then the second week we stayed in Northern Ireland and played the British Am. It was such a cool experience being able to play all those courses and take in the views, while visiting another country and being able to do it with my team.
Why did you choose Louisville?
I chose Louisville because I felt that the coaches cared about me more than just another player on their team and wanted to see me grow as a person and a player. I wanted a big athletic school which Louisville definitely fit. I also loved the girls on the team and felt like we all got along, and the practice facilities were amazing.
How do you know coming to Louisville was the right decision for you?
My team felt like family, my coaches helped me grow, and my golf game improved tremendously. I think the most important way I knew Louisville was the right decision was when I found out that our season was done and I was not going to be able to play or travel with my team again and begging I could just do it one more time. You don't know how much you love something or take it for granted until it's gone.
What is one thing our program has taught you?
To never take anything for granted and that there is more to life than just golf. We visited the Kids Corral in Oklahoma and that really helped put things into perspective for me.
What is your favorite thing about our team/program?
That my team is my second family. All the girls on the team are my sisters and are always going to be there for me no matter when and where in the world we are.
What is the best part about being a student-athlete at Louisville?
The team camaraderie, big athletic competition, and being able to volunteer in the community.
What do you miss most about being on campus?
Seeing my coaches and teammates everyday.
What are you doing with yourself during your free time?
Catching up on movies and TV shows, playing golf, working out, cooking and playing games with my roommates.
What's one thing you wish you had with you during this time?
A gym or nice weather to be able to be outside.
How are you continuing to stay in shape during this time?
I've been doing core circuits while watching tv shows, going on small runs, and doing a bodyweight workout our trainer gave us.
How have you and your teammates been keeping in contact?
I am still living with two of them now (Meghan Nay and Lauren Hartlage), but the whole team has been talking in our group chat and I have FaceTimed with them.
