Catching Up with David Mizrahi

Throughout the remainder of the 2020 spring semester, we will check in with the players on the University of Louisville men's tennis teams as they complete their semesters online. This week we check in with sophomore David Mizrahi.
As the Cardinals 2020 season ended, Mizrahi had complied a 14-9 overall record in singles with a 6-4 mark in dual matches.

What is your daily schedule like these days, have you developed a routine?
I have started to develop a routine of doing homework in the morning, doing a home workout during the afternoon, reading as well to work on my mind. Trying to be in contact with my teammates throughout the day.
What do you do in your downtime?
Play video games, workout, read books, talk with friends.
How are you communicating with teammates, coaches, etc.?
Through text message facetime and group video chats.
Do you have a favorite "binge" show or series that you are watching?
Yes, All American and The Spy on Netflix.
What is your favorite quote, saying or motto?
"Everything negative-pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise'' Kobe Bryant
How do you think your friends would describe you?
Caring, hardworking, and forgiving.
What is your favorite social media platform?
Instagram
What words of support or encouragement would you send fellow student-athletes?
To trust the process and realize everything takes time.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Kobe Bryant, because of his work ethic and competitive desire to win at all cost.
What are some of the top moments/favorite memories from your career so far?
Coming back from knee surgery, and clinched a 4-2 match against Dartmouth.
If you could play any sport other than tennis, what would it be?
Basketball
