Chen Named ACC Men's Tennis Co-Player of the Week

Junior Tin Chen earns Louisville's first weekly honor of the season.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - The University of Louisville's Tin Chen was named ACC Men's Tennis Co-Player of the Week as announced by the league office on January 21.
Chen (Pintung, Taiwan) led the Cardinals to a 4-3 upset of No. 10 Virginia in both teams' ACC opener on Saturday. The junior, ranked No. 42 in the ITA singles rankings, clinched the match with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-4 win against No. 68 Gianni Ross at No. 1.
Chen leads the team with an 18-3 overall singles record and is 3-0 in dual matches at No. 1.
UofL (4-0, 1-0) will hit the road for Waco, Texas for the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The Cardinals will take on New Mexico in the first round on Saturday at 12 p.m. No. 5 Baylor and Gonzaga will meet in the other first round match.
