The University of Louisville volleyball team moved to No. 24 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Poll this week after debuting at No. 25 in the preseason poll.Â
The Cardinals, picked third in the Preseason ACC Poll, went 2-1 over the weekend at the Cardinal Classic. After falling to No. 10 Florida, the Cardinals beat Texas A&M 3-2 and then swept Dayton in the Classic's finale.Â

The season will highlight one of the best Cardinal recruiting classes in recent memory. The 2019 UofL volleyball recruiting class was ranked No. 16 in the nation, the highest ranked class in the ACC and the highest ranking Cardinal class since 2006. The ranking was announced by PrepVolleyball.com, where a panel of college coaches from across the country and representing all three NCAA women's volleyball divisions determines the top list of classes.Â
