University of Louisville's Dani Busboom Kelly begins coaching with USA Volleyball's High Performance teams this week in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Competition takes place from July 18-22.
USA Volleyball High Performance encompasses identification, evaluation, training, development, and international competition across all three disciplines (beach, indoor and sitting) of volleyball, building a National Pipeline to the podium. The mission of High Performance is to identify, train and develop elite athletes and coaches to build a sustainable pipeline of future Olympians and Paralympians. High Performance bridges the gap between our Senior U.S. National Teams and high potential athletes.Â
The High Performance National Team "Pipeline" is for volleyball athletes who aspire to reach the elite level of their sport and is intended to grow the pool of talented young players who may someday compete for a spot on the U.S. National and Olympic Teams.
Â
The competition also provides university coaches with experience and exposure to USA Volleyball.
Â
The USA Volleyball High Performance Coaches Pipeline is comprised of highly motivated coaches who are committed to helping USAV identify and develop future U.S. Olympians. Coaches are trained in the U.S. National Teams' skill and system model, coach High Performance training and competition programs, and enjoy a nationwide network of some of the top volleyball coaches in the U.S.
Â
Coach Busboom Kelly coached the US Collegiate National Team to a gold medal in the European Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia in July of 2018.
