The junior earned her second consecutive All-American Honor
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's golfer Lauren Hartlage has earned her second Golfweek All-American honor as the rising season was recently named an Honorable Mention selection by the publication.
Hartlage was also named a Golfweek All-American Honorable Mention selection last season. She is the first Cardinal since Sara-Maude Juneau in 2010 and 2011 to earn consecutive All-American honors.
"Lauren continues to prove that she is one of the best players in the country," head coach Courtney Trimble says. "Her consistency, hard work, drive, and constant improvement has allowed her to gain another All-American honor. We could not be more proud of Lauren and all that she had accomplished."
The Elizabethtown, Kentucky, native led the Cardinals with a 72.60 stroke average in 30 rounds this season, which ranks third all-time in program history. Hartlage finished in the top-10 in five of the 10 tournaments Louisville competed in and was the team's top finisher at the NCAA East Lansing Regional.
Hartlage finished her junior campaign 49th in the Golfstat NCAA Division I player rankings and 61st in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. She opened up the spring season by earning medalist honors at the Moon Golf Invitational for her second collegiate victory. Her 10-under par 206 tied the second-best individual tournament in program history.
