
Women's Golf Posts A-mazing Year in the Classroom

Cardinals Post 3.576 GPA for the Year and 3.550 GPA for the Spring Semester
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's golf team completed a successful season in the classroom, as the squad posted an overall 2018-19 GPA of 3.576, and a 3.550 GPA for the spring semester.

"Our team takes great pride in being remarkable students as well as golfers," head coach Courtney Trimble said. "They continue to succeed in the classroom and as a coaching staff, we could not be more proud of all the work they put into being great students as well."

The team has now achieved a combined GPA of 3.500 or higher six consecutive semesters, and attained at least a 3.400 in 17 straight semesters. All eight members earned Athletic Director's Honor Roll Recognition for having a 3.00 or better for the term.

Seven members of the team earned Red & Black Scholar Athlete status for a 3.25 or better cumulative GPA, while six were named to the Dean's List for spring 2019.

The Cardinals have a cumulative 3.612 GPA, which includes previous semesters of everyone on the roster.

The women's golf program received an NCAA Public Recognition Award for being in the top-10 percent in Division I for the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR), receiving the honor for the ninth consecutive year. They also posted a perfect 1,000 single-year APR score for the most recent 2017-18 figures.

The lone senior on the squad, Olivia Cason, graduated from UofL on May 11 with her degree in finance.
