Hana Ryskova will join the Cardinals for the 2019-20 academic year.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's golf program has inked Hana Ryskova as the second member of the 2019 signing class.
A native of the Czech Republic, Ryskova joins previously announced signee Agustina Gomez Cisterna as signees that will join the Cardinals for the 2019-20 academic year.
"Hana is going to make a great addition to our team in the fall," current assistant coach and future head coach of the Cardinals Whitney Young said. "She is a very experienced player having played in national and worldwide team events. Her short game is one of the best I have seen in junior golf and we are looking forward to her making an immediate impact.
"This concludes our 2019 class and we couldn't be more excited about Hana and Agustina."
Ryskova put together an outstanding junior career in the Czech Republic, ranking as high as No. 105 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
The future Cardinal won the Czech International Junior Championship in 2014 and finished seventh at the World Junior Girls Championship that same year. Ryskova then won the Czech International Women's Championship and Polish International Women's Championship in 2015.
Ryskova was the second runner-up in her home country's championship in 2017 and tied for seventh at the Italian International Championship.
In addition to her individual accomplishments, Ryskova also played in the European Team Championships for five consecutive years from 2013-17, including a fourth-place finish in 2015.
Louisville will play in the NCAA East Lansing Regional Championship starting on Monday as it aims to get back to the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive season.
