Cardinals Finish With Two Wins at the Kentucky Open on Saturday

McRobberts and McClinton lead the Cards with wins in the high jump and 200m
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Louisville track and field team wrapped up the Kentucky Open with two wins and eight top-three finishes on Saturday afternoon at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Stadium.
For the sprints group, Donald McClinton claimed his first win of the season in the 200m, clocking in at 21.69. Noah McBride posted his highest finish the 100m, taking second place with a personal best time of 10.95. McBride also finished third in the 200m with a time 21.90.
On the women's side, Kelsey Heyward finished third in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.15. Angel Amadi had a third place finish in the 200m with a personal best time of 24.52
Anthony McRoberts won the triple jump with a leap of 14.88m/48-10 for the Cardinals' first win of the day. Morgan Zacharias cleared 4.00m/13-01.50 in the pole vault for a third place finish.
Rashida Harris continued her streak of finishing in the top three, throwing for 15.40m/50-06.25 and taking third place in shot put. Mitchell Kessler finished third in the hammer throw with a mark of 59.27m/194-05.
Cameron Stephens finished third in the 5,000m with a time of 14:58.97, setting a new personal-best.
The Cardinals will host their final home meet of the season next weekend with the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational taking place on Friday and Saturday at Cardinal Park.
