
Louisville Women’s Golf Adds Cisterna to 2019 Signing Class

Agustina Gomez Cisterna will join the Cardinals for the 2019-20 season.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisville women's golf program has added Agustina Gomez Cisterna as the first member of its 2019 signing class.
Gomez Cisterna is a highly touted golfer out of Buenos Aires, Argentina that is currently prepping at IMG Academy.
"We are very excited to sign Agustina Gomez Cisterna as she is one of the top players in the class of 2019," head coach Courtney Trimble said. "She has played and achieved at the highest levels of junior and amateur competitions worldwide, while also representing the Argentina National Team.
"With her experience as a player and a teammate, we are looking forward to her making an immediate impact this fall."
Gomez Cisterna has collected 10 tournament victories over the last four years, including the ANNIKA Invitational Latin America in 2016. She also captured the Tournament of Amateur Brazil Ladies (Amador de Golfe do Brasil) and Final Tournament of Amateur Argentinian Ladies (Torneo Final Del Ranking Argentino) in 2017.
During her time stateside, Gomez Cisterna took home titles at the Scott Robertson Memorial in May and IMG Academy Junior World Florida Challenge in December.
Gomez Cisterna is currently ranked seventh among Argentinian amateur golfers.
Louisville hits the course again on Saturday for the opening round of the Evans Derby Experience at the Auburn (Ala.) University Club.
