Louisville's Recruiting Class Tabbed No. 19

Incoming freshmen rated No.19 according to Tennisrecruiting.net
The University of Louisville men's tennis 2019 freshman signing class has been rated No. 19 in the country according to Tennisrecruiting.net.
"I am pleased that the ratings staff of tennisrecruiting.net included my recruiting class of Randy Wilson, Matthew Fung, Daniel Fainblum and James Bell in their top 25 rankings," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "The two dozen voters are some of the brightest minds in our sport. Coach Jakob Gustafsson and I worked very hard on this class and believe they have great potential."

James Bell
The Fremont, Calif., native carries a four-star rating from tennisrecruiting.net and is ranked No. 140 nationally in the class of 2019. His career highlights include reaching the finals of the Willow Glen and Fremont Junior Championships and the consolation quarterfinals of the Northern California Sectional. He was also a qualifier for the USA Clay Court and Hardcourt (Kalamazoo) Supernationals and won two singles round in the National Level 2 tournament in Stockton, Calif., and the National Level 3 tournament in Sacramento, Calif.
Daniel Fainblum
Fainblum, who hails from Thornhill, Ontario, has been ranked as high as No. 1 in Canada within his age group, reaching as high as No. 12 in singles and No. 6 in doubles in U18. Additionally, he has achieved a 610 ranking on the ITF U18 circuit.
He brings an impressive resume which includes the doubles championship and a runner-up finish in singles in the Coca Cola ITF Tournament as well as the singles title in the U18 National Selection Indoor Tournament. Fainblum claimed the doubles crown and was a singles finalist in the U18 regional provincial championship after claiming the singles and double titles in the U16 provincial championship. Additionally, he was a quarterfinalist in both singles and doubles in the U18 national championships and advanced through the qualification draw of the F11 Futures tournament in Orange Park, Fla.
Matthew Fung
Fung comes to Louisville from Miami, Florida, and played an instrumental role in Miami Palmetto Senior High School's state championship run. He holds a 5-star rating according to tennisrecruiting.net and is ranked No. 39 nationally in the class of 2019.
Some of his career highlights include eight singles wins in the prestigious USA Clay Courts SuperNationals where he advanced to the semifinals of the consolation draw. He was reached the singles finals of the Florida Level 4 tournament in Daytona and the Florida Level 5 tournaement in North Miami.
Randy Wilson
The Miami, Florida native plays for Miami Palmetto Senior High School and helped his team to the Florida State Championship. He carries 5-star rating by tennisrecruiting.net and ranked No. 37 nationally in the class of 2019. Wilson boasts a stellar resume which includes a USA National Level 3 Singles title won in Ft. Myers, Fla., a Level 2 championship in Key Biscayne, Fla., and a semifinal showing at the Coral Gables, ITF Tournament.
"We watched them play many times in national events as well as interviewed them and brought them in for official visits," said Ecarma. "The guys on our team felt they were a great fit for our particular culture. If you add this class with the six freshmen in the class of 2018 already on campus, our program is set for good things to come. I think we would be ranked even higher if they included Tin Chen, a top 3 junior college player, but this service only counts true freshmen. It is nice to join Duke and North Carolina in the top three recruiting classes in the ACC."
