
Men's Golf Heads Out For Second Tournament

The Cardinals are coming off a second-place finish lat own tournament.
LOUISVILLE, Ky.. – Looking to ride the momentum of lasat week's second-place finish at the Louisville Cardinals Invitational, the University of Louisville men's golf team will look to take a tournament win in Winston-Salem at the inaugural Old Town Club Collegiate Invitational.
The tournament starts on Sept. 24, with two rounds on Monday and the final on Tuesday, with both days starting at 7:30 a.m. ET. Admission is free to all fans, and live scoring can be found at Golfstat.com.
The Old Town Club golf course, which is 6,966-yard, par 70, is located immediately next door to Wake Forest's campus. East Carolina, East Tennessee State, No. 48 Louisville, Loyola (Md.), Maryland, No. 20 North Carolina, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Yale and host No. 28 Wake Forest comprises the field for this competitive tournament.
Simon Zach, Trevor Johnson, John Murphy, Devin Morley, Matthias Schmid and Jiri Zuska will compete for the Cardinals in the second tournament of the fall.
The Cardinals opened the fall season on Sept. 14-16 by finishing second at their own tournament. Schmid carded a 10-under-par to finish third and was one of four UofL golfers to shoot under or even par during the three-day event.
