Cards Move into 12th Place at the Puerto Rico Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team fired a second-round score of -11 under to move up to 12th place after two rounds at the Puerto Rico Classic Tuesday at the Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

Louisville moved up one spot to 12th place and are 14-under-par after two rounds of play in the difficult field of competition. Virginia continues to lead the way at 35-under-par and LSU is second at 30-under-par. Ohio State is in third place and Tennessee and Oklahoma are in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

On Tuesday, Andrew Tan tied a career best with a second-round score of 68 to move into 38th place at 4-under-par after 36 holes. Easton Johnson and Cooper Claycomb carded second round tallies of 69 to sit in 30th and 53rd place, respectively. Johnson is tops for the Cards with a score of 5-under-par while Claycomb is at 1-under-par.

Warren Thomis and Brady Smith are tied for 52nd at 1-under-par heading into Wednesday's final round.

The Cardinals return to action Wednesday morning with the final 18 holes of the tournament.
