Rex Ecarma has announced that David Mizrahi will join the Cardinals in the fall
University of Louisville men's tennis coach has announced that David Mizrahi will join the Cardinals in the fall of 2018. Â
"I know David's coaches well and trust that they have prepared him as a player and competitor for the ACC," said Rex Ecarma. "He is extremely loyal to his coaches and that really stuck out to me. I am glad we had an opening on our team to add a warrior like David to Cardinal tennis."
"My dream is play high level Division I tennis," said Mizrahi. "The moment I got to Louisville, I knew the school was a perfect match for me because of the environment, culture, support, and mentality here. I instantly felt at home. Coach Ecarma has been at the program for 28 seasons and know that he will be able to push me to my limits in order to be successful on and off the court."
Mizrahi joins the Cardinals from New York, N.Y., 2018 is a five-star recruit who has been ranked as high as No. 37 in the nation in his class. He brings an impressive resume to Louisville after winning USA National Level 2 tournaments in singles (Boston, Mass.) and doubles (West Point, N.Y.).
 "I am very excited to have David join us here this fall," said UofL assistant coach Jakob Gustafsson. "He is a person of great character and player of great potential. He will fit within our system and thrive in what we do here. Evan though David already has established a high rating, he has only begun to tap into his potential and I truly believe great things are ahead for him."
