
Cason, Hartlage, Skapik Named to All-ACC Academic Women’s Golf Team

Olivia Cason earned the award for the third-consecutive year.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville's Olivia Cason, Lauren Hartlage, and Molly Skapik were named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Women's Golf Team on Thursday.
Since head coach Courtney Trimble arrived in 2012, Louisville student-athletes have been recognized on 29 occasions for their work in the classroom on academic all-conference teams.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete, regardless of classification, must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
Cason, a finance major, boasts a 3.503 heading into her senior campaign, earning the all-ACC Academic Team honor for the third-consecutive season. The Owensboro, Ky., native finished the 2017-18 campaign third on the team with a 74.74 stroke average. She produced 10 rounds even or below par and two top-10 finishes.
Hartlage, who was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Team, boasts a 3.983 cumulative grade-point and is majoring in finance.
The Elizabethtown, Ky., native, Hartlage secured Golfweek All-America honorable mention accolades and all-ACC honors after compiling another record-setting season. She set the program's single-season record with 20 rounds even or below par, compiled the second-best stroke average at 72.24, and tied for the second-most top-10 finishes with seven.
Skapik graduated in the spring with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finishing her career at UofL with a 3.66 GPA. The Miamisburg, Ohio, native played in 42 tournaments in the four years, registering a 75.17 stroke average for the ninth-best career mark in school history. Her 30 career rounds even or below par is tied for sixth in the school's record book.
