Men's Tennis Set for Commodore Scramble

George Hedley, Fredrik Moe and Federico Gomez will represent the Cardinals this weekend
The University of Louisville men's tennis team will send three players to Vanderbilt's Commodore Scramble this weekend.
Juniors Federico Gomez and George Hedley and sophomore Fredrik Moe will represent the Cardinals in the tournament which will take place Sept. 29-Oct. 1 and will feature players from Alabama, Auburn, Furman, Lipscomb, Louisville, LSU and Vanderbilt.
"This is always a good tournament to play in," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "The competition is good, the Vanderbilt coaches run it very well. The last couple of years, we've had success there in both singles and doubles. Two years ago, Brandon Lancaster was the MVP and that helped him start a good career. Last year at this tournament was the first time I put Parker Wynn and Sean Donohue together as a doubles team and they went on to have an outstanding season. We hope to have a breakout performance this year as well."
