Ciro Lampasas registers 3-1 record in June tournament
University of Louisville men's tennis player Ciro Lampasas finished runner-up in singles at the Giammalva Racquet Club Open on June 18 in Houston.
"I am happy that Ciro is back to playing tournaments to get ready for next season," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "He was an instrumental part in the biggest turnaround in college tennis last season and I know he wants an even bigger part in his upcoming senior campaign."
Lampasas, a rising senior, was the No. 2 seeded player in the tournament. The Houston native posted three straight-set victories en route to the finals before falling to top-seeded Ahmed Triki 5-7, 6-2, 14-12 in the title match.
