Track and Field Wraps Up First Day at Crimson Tide Invitational

Clare Noser and Dolly Nyemah lead the Cardinals on the first day
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Claire Noser and Dolly Nyemah led the Cardinals on the first day of competition at the Crimson Tide Invitational with top three finishes.
Noser ran a personal best time of 16:44.59 in the women's 5000 meters to finish second. Teammate Abigail Wright also ran a personal best with a time of 17:39.93 to finish 16th.
Nyemah finished third in the women's hammer with a personal best throw of 58.39/191-7. Cyerra Cassell finished sixth with a season best throw of 55.40m/181-9. Emmonnie Henderson threw the hammer for the first time in competition, finishing ninth with a throw of 52.02m/170-8. Halee Hudson also threw the hammer for the first time, finishing 20th with a throw of 42.01m/137-10.
Darrius Lopez led the men with a fourth place finish in the men's hammer. Lopez threw a season best throw of 58.29m/191-3 to lead the Cardinals. Spencer Harris finished ninth with a personal best throw of 46.11m/151-3. Mitchell Kessler finished 10th with a throw of 45.00m/147-7.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Saturday. The events get underway at 1:30 p.m. with the women's discus and will conclude with the men's 4x400-meter relay at 8:15 p.m.
