Cardinals play the first of two straight road games at Northwestern
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville lacrosse team travels to Evanston, Ill. to faceoff against familiar foe Northwestern on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Louisville (9-3, 1-2) is coming off a 15-6 victory over Duquesne on Tuesday that saw 10 different Cards score at least one goal. Junior Madison Hoover tallied a career-high five assists to lead all scorers, while Freshman Ashley Lynch registered two assists and a goal. Junior keeper Brittany Read finished with four saves in the victory.

Senior Hannah Koloski leads Louisville with 46 points from 45 goals and one assist, while sophomores Meghan Siverson (40g, 3a) and McKayla Conti (22g, 5a) have 43 and 27 points, respectively. Koloski is fourth in the nation in goals per game with 3.75, while Siverson is 15th with 3.33 goals per game. Hoover leads the team with 14 assists. Read carries an 8.55 goals against average, good for 12th in the nation, a .532 save percentage, good for seventh in the nation, and 116 saves on the year which is tops in the nation.

No. 14/17 Northwestern (4-5, 1-0) is coming off a 10-8 victory at Michigan on Thursday. Senior Danita Stroup and freshman Meghan Duffy both scored hat tricks in the win. Sophomore goalkeeper Mallory Weisse stopped seven shots in the win.

Senior Chirstina Esposito leads the Wildcats with 31 points from 25 goals and six assists. Stroup carries 16 points from 15 goals and one assists into Sunday's matchup. Juniors Corinne Wessels and Shelby Fredericks both have a team-high nine assists. Weisse owns a 10.48 goals-against average, a .460 save percentage, and has stopped 81 saves on the year.

Northwestern leads the all-time series 5-1. The Cards and the Wildcats split last seasons' matchups with Louisville victorious at UofL Lacrosse Stadium after a 10-4 decision, while Northwestern defeated Louisville 15-5 in South Bend, Ind. in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
