Edwin Kibichiy Leads Track and Field Teams at the Raleigh Relays

Kibichiy sets new school record in the 10,000 meters
RALEIGH, N.C. – Edwin Kibichiy led the Cardinals with a win in the 10,000 meters on Friday evening at the Raleigh Relays. Claire Noser and Calvin Chemoiywo finished with top 15 finishes to help lead the Cardinals.
Kibichiy won his first event of the outdoor season in the men's 10,000 meters. He set a new school record with a time of 28:38.06 for the win. Kibichiy broke Michael Eaton's record of 28:41.96 set in 2007 at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Calvin Chemoiywo finished 15th in the 10,000 meters with a personal best time of 29:20.17. Daniel Fleace finished 61st with a time of 31:14.70 in his first outdoor appearance.
Claire Noser ran a personal best time of 10:36.87 to finish eighth in the women's 3,000m steeplechase. Teammate Abigail Wright finished 24th with a personal best time of 11:01.88.
In her first outdoor appearance for the Cardinals, Caroline Gosser finished 17th in the women's 10,000 meters. She finished with a season best time of 35:10.66. Bailey Beery and Bailey Davis both finished with personal bests in the women's 5000 meters. Beery finished 24th with a time of 16:57.29 while Davis finished 42nd with a time of 17:14.92.
