
Skapik Leading Women’s Golf on Day Two of Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational

Molly Skapik is tied for fifth with a 5-under-par 139.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Molly Skapik continues to sit near the top of the leaderboard, as the University of Louisville women's golf team moved on Saturday to seventh at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Skapik shot a 1-over-par 73 in the second round, giving her a two-day score of 5-under-par 139. The senior, now tied for fifth in the 96-player field, rose to the top of the leaderboard during the day after hitting two birdies – and no bogeys on the front nine.
Collectively, the Cardinals shot a 1-over-par 288 and have a two-day score of 1-over-par 577. Duke is pacing the 18 teams with a 22-under-par 554 performance.
The Cardinals resume competition for the final round on Sunday, teeing off with Ohio State and Wake Forest at 9:15 a.m. ET.
Lauren Hartlage climbed 24 spots on the leaderboard and is tied for 32nd following her 2-under-par 70. It was her fifth round even or below par this year, aided by five birdies on the day. She heads into Sunday with a 1-over-par 145.
Jacqueline Twitty moved up two spots, tying for 54th, after her 1-over-par 73 in the second round.
Olivia Cason and Kristin Engle are tied for 58th, each holding a 5-over-par 149.
