Venezuelan swims in heat 1 of semi-final

University of Louisville's Carlos Claverie posted a 2:11.56 in the semifinals of the men's 200-breaststroke at the 2015 Rio Olympic Games. The Venezuelan finished 15th.

Japan's Ippei Watanabe set an Olympic record in the same heat to nail down the top qualifying time with a 2:07.22.
