Men's Tennis Signee Parker Wynn Earns USTA Texas Awards

Wynn earns John McFarlin Award and Art Foust Sportsmanship Award
University of Louisville incoming freshman Parker Wynn recently garnered two awards given by United States Tennis Association (USTA) Texas.

Wynn, a native of North Richland Hills, Texas, earned the organization's John McFarlin Award which is given to a junior player in Texas who exemplifies outstanding sportsmanship and leadership, civic responsibility, character and a good tennis ranking during tournament play. He also won the Art Foust Sportsmanship Award for outstanding sportsmanship on and off the court for a Super Championship 18s boy as voted by the players at the Summer Grand Slam.

"I am extremely proud of Parker Wynn and the two major awards he received from the Texas Tennis Association," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "Texas is one of the best sections in America with a huge amount of junior players and for Parker to be awarded two of its most prestigious awards is amazing. He will represent UofL tennis well like 2015 Arthur Ashe National Award winner Sebastian Stiefelmeyer and 2016 Arthur Ashe Regional Award winner Alex Gornet."
