Women's Tennis Set to Face UNC and Cincinnati

Cards play No. 3-ranked UNC in Chapel Hill.
The University of Louisville women's tennis team is back in action this weekend when they travel to take on No. 3 North Carolina on Saturday at 11 a.m. and host Cincinnati on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

The Cardinals head into this weekends matchups with a 7-12 record. Sophomore Abbie Pahz leads the way for Louisville, boasting a 13-4 singles record on the season. Freshman Sena Suswam will look for another big win after coming off of a huge singles win over former No. 1 player in the nation and All-American, No. 20 ranked Joana Eidukontye 6-2, 6-3.

The Tar Heels will bring a 20-2 overall record and 8-0 conference record into Saturday's morning matchup. North Carolina is coming off a 4-1 road victory over the No. 10 Duke Blue Devils on Wednesday. The Tar Heels are lead by the No. 1 singles player in the county Hayley Carter, followed by No. 29 Whitney Kay, and No. 53 Jessie Aney. Their roster also includes the No. 1 doubles team in Whitney Kay and Hayley and the No. 65 doubles team in Kate Vialle and Jessie Aney.

Cincinnati is coming off of two non-conference wins over Marquette and Wright State to improve their overall record to 9-5. The Bearcats boast the No. 48 doubles team in Lauren Bellinger and Ali Miller after defeating their first ranked doubles opponent improving their doubles record to 6-1 on the season.Â
