•   Louisville owns a 52-22 lead in the all-time series with Eastern Kentucky, the fourth most-played series for the Cardinals.
•   The Cardinals have won 14 straight games against the Colonels.
•   Head coach Rick Pitino improved to 8-0 against Eastern Kentucky, including 4-0 at Louisville.
TEAM
•   Saturday's game marked the 15th edition of the Billy Minardi Classic, originated in 2002 to honor the memory of Billy Minardi, best friend and brother-in-law of Pitino. Minardi died in the September 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
•   The Cardinals moved to 19-1 overall in the Billy Minardi Classic and have won 14 of 15 championships
•   UofL improved to 106-14 all-time at the KFC Yum! Center, now in its seventh season as the home of the Cardinals.Â

•   Sophomore Donovan Mitchell led the Cardinals in scoring for the third time this season after registering his 19th career double-figure scoring performance with Saturday's 15-point performance.
•   Mitchell added seven rebounds, one shy of his career-best effort on the glass.
•   Mitchell equaled a career-high with five made free throws on Saturday.
•   Junior Quentin Snider finished with 13 points (all in the first half) for his sixth double-figure scoring outing of the season and the 26th of his career.
•   Snider dished out a season-high six assists against EKU, one better than his previous high this season.Â
•   Senior Mangok Mathiang equaled a career-high with 13 rebounds matching the total against Saint Louis on Nov. 28, 2015.
•   Mathiang also finished with a career-best four assists, two more than his previous high effort achieved eight different times.
•   Graduate Tony Hicks scored a season-high 10 points, made a season's best four shots from the field and connected for a season-high two three-point baskets.
•   Sophomore Jaylen Johnson registered his sixth double-figure outing of the season and the eight of his collegiate career with Saturday's 10-point game.
•   Junior Anas Mahmoud returned to action after missing three games with a concussion and finished with five blocked shots, one shy of his career-high mark.
•   Mahmoud has registered at least one blocked shot in each of his eight games this season and each of his last 12 games overall dating back to last season.
•   Mahmoud equaled a career-high two steals while scoring six points and adding four rebounds in 16 minutes.
•   Sophomore Ray Spalding had a career-best four blocked shots against Eastern Kentucky.
