Collegiate Career:

Graduate transfer led Penn in scoring as a sophomore and junior and earned All-Ivy League honorable mention honors during his freshman and junior years.
Enrolled in graduate school at UofL after completing his sociology degree at Penn in May.
Totaled 1,060 career points in three seasons while starting 64 games for the Quakers. He has connected on 107-of-308 three-pointers in three seasons (347) and 78.1 percent of his free throws (217-of-278)
Completed his degree in sociology at Penn while sitting out the 2015-16 season.
As a junior in 2014-15, Hicks led Penn in scoring (13.2 ppg), was second in assists (65) and three-pointers (43-of-116, .371), and was third in steals (22). The team captain was a double-figure scorer in 18 games and ranked sixth in the Ivy League in scoring.
Matched a Penn single-game record with 13 assists against Lafayette, adding 14 points, four rebounds and four steals in the game.
Led Penn and was seventh in the Ivy League in scoring (14.9 ppg) as a sophomore while finishing second on the team in assists (78) and threes (37). He had 21 double-figure scoring efforts, including a career-best 33 points against Niagara.
Ranked sixth in scoring (14.9) and 10th in assists (2.9) in the Ivy League as a sophomore.
Averaged 10.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and handed out 61 assists as a freshman, including a 15.3 scoring average in conference games (third in the Ivy League). He scored in double digits on 15 occasions.
Ranked 10th in the Ivy League in three-point field goals per game as a junior.
Scored 25 points, including 20 in the second half and the winning field goal with four seconds remaining in a victory at Cornell (2/6/15).
While at Penn, he earned Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week honors (11/17/14), Co-Ivy League Player of the Week accolades (11/11/13) and was twice named Ivy rookie of the week (2/25/13, 3/4/13).
Has a 6-8 wingspan.
Also played quarterback in high school and competed in track and field in hurdles, high jump and triple jump.
His brother Raushawn Render ran track at Eastern Illinois University as a sprinter.
Chose to attend Louisville for his final collegiate season after also considering Oregon, Miami and Nevada.

High School:

A member of the 2012 Parade All-America team, Hicks was the Chicago Catholic League Player of the Year as a senior at St. Rita of Cascia High School and an all-state selection.
Averaged 23.7 points and 3.2 steals as a senior in leading St. Rita to the Chicago Catholic League North Division Championship. He scored 38 points in St. Rita’s season opener against Lake Forest Academy his senior year.
Honored as the ESPN Illinois Player of the Year and was a Chicago Sun-TImes All-Area selection as a senior.
Averaged 13 points as a sophomore and 16 points as a junior at St. Rita’s. He also set the St. Rita high jump record of 6-2 as a senior.
