Junior Year:
- Full name is Anas Osama Mahmoud (pronounced AH-nahs o-SAW-mah mah-MOOD).
- 2017 All-ACC Academic Men’s Basketball team selection.
- Second in the ACC and 38th in the nation in blocked shots (2.10 bpg). He was the Cardinals’ leader in field goal percentage (.623).
- Totaled eight points, five rebounds, four blocked shots and two steals at North Carolina.
- Had his best outing in five games at Syracuse with 12 points, eight rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals. He had eight points, nine rebounds and a career-high four steals against the Orange in Louisville.
- Scored a career-high 17 points and pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds against Duke in Louisville (1/14), registering his first career double-double.
- Blocked a shot in 54 games over his career, blocking a shot in 29 of his 31 games as a junior. He blocked six shots in a game twice in 2016-17 (vs. Wichita State, Notre Dame).
