LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's golf program is set for the 13th edition of the Cardinal Cup from Sunday through Tuesday in Simpsonville, Ky.
The Cardinals help make up a 17-team field that includes six top-50 programs, including two in the top 10. The schools will tee off Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m. ET, from the UofL Golf Club, a par-72, 6,393-yard course. Teams will play 18 holes each day, with a shotgun start on Sunday, and live stats can be accessed from Golfstat.com.
Louisville will utilize two teams. Louisville Black, the scoring team, consists of Lauren Hartlage, Jacqueline Twitty, Shannon Gramley, Olivia Cason, and Molly Skapik, while Louisville Red features Louise Oxner, Meghan Nay, Delaney Shah, and Ellen Kehoe.
The Cardinals, taking part in their final event this fall, head into the event having won the last four-consecutive Cardinal Cup titles, the longest run by any program in its existence. Last year's group of Cardinals that won it finished with a 14-over-par 878, with three individuals placing in the top 10.
Through four tournaments this season, Hartlage continues to pave the way for the Cardinals. The freshman boasts a team-leading five rounds even or below par and holds a 72.91 stroke average. She has finished in the top 20 in each tournament, including tying Twitty for 17th last week at the Tar Heel Invitational.
Hartlage, Twitty, and Cason each have earned one top-10 finish this season.
