
Sciot-Siegrist Ties for Third, Leads Men's Golf

Robin Sciot-Siegrist finished with a 4-under-par 209.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Senior Robin Sciot-Siegrist scored his third-consecutive round under par and finished stroke play with a 4-under-par 209 for the tournament to tie for third overall at the DICK'S Sporting Goods Collegiate Challenge Cup on Saturday.
As a team, the University of Louisville men's golf team earned a 21-over-par 873 to take 10th.
Sciot-Siegrist started slow with a double-bogey on No. 4 and was 2-over after the front nine. He finished strong with birdies on No. 13 and No. 17 along with an eagle on No. 11 to shoot 3-under on the back nine and 1-under for the day. Sciot-Siegrist was four strokes behind the individual leader, Alabama's Robby Shelton, who shot an 8-under 205.
Patrick Frodigh followed up his solid performance from Friday with an even-par 71 to finish 2-over for the tournament, which was good for a tie for 16th.
Simon Zach finished in a tie for 40th after shooting a team low 2-under par 69 on the day. J.D. Lehman finished in a tie for 46th after shooting a 2-over 73 in his final round, followed by Hugo Esposito, who finished in 59th after a final round 80.
No. 13 Vanderbilt and Virginia finished in a tie for first in the 12-team field after carding a 3-under par 849 for the tournament. Vanderbilt won the playoff between the two teams to determine first overall. No. 2 Florida State (858), No. 12 Georgia (860) and No. 15 Duke (863) rounded out the top five.
The Cardinals finish the tournament on Sunday with match play to determine the top conference honors, when they battle it out against one of the SEC schools.
